Hello Spring

Spring is finally on it's way, which means I don't have to  permanently live in jeans.
Today I embraced my hideously pale legs and put on a skirt. It feels like a life time since summer, winter feels like it has been here forever, and as much as I enjoy dressing for winter, I am welcoming spring/summer with open arms & an empty purse, meaning I am yet to fill my summer wardrobe. But for now, I shall utilise what I have, even if it is about a million years old.

What i'm wearing...

Jacket - Topshop (SALE)
Boyfriend Tee - Primark
Necklace - Primark
Belt - Vintage
Skirt - Topshop dress (Super Old)
ShoesNike Roshe Run

(P.S. Im Not playing with my boob...)

Fortune Clothing

Are you a vintage junkie? If you are you should keep reading!

Fortune Clothing is a new online vintage/retro store currently based on ASOS Market Place, selling items for both guys and girls. It was started up in Peterborough (my hometown) early this year and already seems to be a big hit.

When some people hear the word 'vintage' they automatically think 'old'. Fortune Clothing don't just sell any odd piece of vintage clothing, it is all hand picked by the owner, aiming to cater for a large audience with varied senses of style taken into consideration.
There is a lot of really lovely items on their E-store that all fit in very well with the trends and modern styles you see today. If you are a fan of monochrome or pastel pieces, then they have variety of both.

What I really like about the idea of this new online vintage store is that it is a whole new thing for Peterborough. Whilst living in peterborough I noticed a lot of people starting up their own brands, but they were all the same, plain t-shirts with a hand/computer designed logo, this isn't to say that none of them were nice or even successful because many of them have been, I just like that Retro Clothing has set them selves apart from the rest, which I feel will work in their favour!

I spoke to the founder of Fortune Clothing recently and it is so nice to know that the person behind it all is so inspired & enthusiastic not only about her brand but about giving her customers confidence;
"The concept is so much more than the fashion it's about pushing the boundaries and inspiring people to have the confidence to wear these sorts of things."

I definitely cannot wait to see more from them & what items will be picked out for summer! I have high hopes for Fortune Clothing especially as they are an online store, making vintage & retro pieces more accessible & for a reasonable price too!

So if you are into vintage and retro clothing, I highly recommend checking these out, I'm sure you will find something that you love at Fortune Clothing.

Cube Company Press Event

Last thursday, I was invited along to the Cube Company press event which was held in their showroom 'Wren' in Russel Square, by my friend Olivia who works for them. You may or may not have heard of them, they are a PR company that look after a number of brands, the majority being menswear. Some of the brands they look after consist of Adam Andrascik, Joseph Turvey, Mohsin Ali, Peregrine, Henry Lloyd, Diadora & also Serge Denimes; which you may or may not know was a brand founded by Oliver Proudlock from MIC.. If you would like to see what other brands they look after you can find that here.

I went along after work, so around 5ish, thinking I was going to get super lost on the way there, but it was actually a lot easier than first anticipated.
After signing in, I was greeted with a glass of Prosseco which was greatly received! I was then taken around the 2 show rooms and told about the designers. The majority of the collections were menswear but I still appreciated them, especially the more adventurous lines, such as the one from Joseph Turvey, who used a lot of floral designs and prints and more amazingly a matching bomber style jacket and trousers out of floral lace.

There was one collection in particular that caught my eye and kept my attention for the most part of my stay, that was Adam Andrascik. The only way I could describe it was 'That is my dream wardrobe.' there was not one piece I did not like. It was a very monochrome collection, filled with box shape tops, leather jackets, knitwear and metallic silver pieces. Sounds like heaven right!?
I urge you to check out this collection, because I can guarantee you will love it as much as I do.

[The photos are not amazing, as I took them on my phone, and the Prosseco went to my head a little bit more than expected (Im a MASSIVE lightweight), so I strongly advice that you look up some of the designers as my pictures do not do them the justice they deserve!]

Before leaving I was given a goody bag, with some lovely bits in as you can see below, there was also a Henry Lloyd wash bag in the goody bag, but my boyfriend has already snapped that one up.

I had a really lovely time at the event and really enjoyed getting a first look at the collections.
Thank you Cube Company.

Swimwear Favourites

Seeing as the weather is getting nicer and people are starting to jet off on holiday, I thought I would share with you some of my favourite swimwear pieces. Not that I have a reason to even be looking at swimwear as it is looking as though I won't be getting out of the country this year, unless I can save enough. However, swimwear always seems to empty my bank account in the summer, so here are a few that I would most certainly be packing if I was going away this year (& i could afford them all)...

I always base wether I like swimwear based on weather it would look good with a tan or not, obviously the design has a lot to do with my choice as well, but sometimes a bikini or costume that looks horrible off, can look incredible on when your all tanned and lovely! I am yet to find an all in one costume to fall in love with, but when I do, you'll be the first to know about it!
