Astrid & Miyu Blogger Event

Yesterday I attended the Astrid & Miyu blogger event which I was kindly invited to the by the lovely Yanin, more so know as idressmyselff/prettysickly
I went along straight from work and met Yanin, Chanel & Ariana in Joe & The Juice, just off oxford street. From here we walked to bond street where the Astrid & Miyu event was being held.
Now before the event, I had only heard of Astrid & Miyu through Yanin when she invited me, so I had had a little scroll through their website the evening before the event. Everything on the website was so lovely, so I really got excited to actually see it all in person at the event.

Anyway, we got to the pop up store where the event was being held & were greeted by the lovely Astrid & Miyu staff, a glass of champagne & a goody bag full of treats and £40 voucher, which we could use on the night.
The set up of the event was real sweet, they had a table full of cupcakes(who doesn't love a table full of cake!?), an illustrator and a tarot card reader, who may I add was scarily accurate!

I spent so long trying to decide what I was going to get with my voucher, because everything was so lovely. They had a Zodiac collection which was real cool. Some of the pieces just had the birth stone on and others had the name of the sign as well as the birth stone. I really like the idea of having jewellery with you birthstone on, because it always feels that little bit more personal. Most of their jewellery was very dainty which is ideal if you are going to wear it on a daily basis. Im a big fan of simple jewellery, especially on days where accessorising feels like a massive chore!

Finally, after being at the event for just over two hours I picked out what I was going to get using my voucher. I picked up to little rose gold midi rings, one of which had my birth stone on (mines an emerald). I only ever wear silver jewellery, but I do really love rose gold, so I thought by getting these pieces, I will learn to alternate between wearing silver jewellery and rose gold.

The picture is really rubbish, my camera died do I was forced to take it on my phone. I will leave the links to both rings below so you can get a proper look at them.

Midi Heart Ring - Here.
Triangle Diamate Ring - Here.

I definitely recommend the Astrid & Miyu jewellery, especially if you are looking for little dainty pieces. Check out their website here!

I has such a lovely evening. So thank you to Yanin for inviting me and thank you to the staff at Astrid & Miyu for being SO lovely and for my goody bag and voucher!!

Hickies

I was recently sent these from the lovely people at The Cube Company, to try out. Hickies is a brand new elastic lacing system, that allows you to fasten your shoes quicker and slip in and out of shoes whilst keeping them snug!

In all honesty, these aren't something I (personally) would walk past in a shop and immediately be like 'I need these, they are amazing!', but after trying them out, I would definitely recommend them. They are super easy to use and they really do keep you shoes snug on your feet.

You can get them in loads of different colours so you can co-ordinate or clash them with any coloured shoes. It also makes them accessible to both males and females. Here is how I styled them...

Personally, I would only wear them with trainers, but I also think they worked quite well with my Converse too!

I think they are a pretty great idea. They completely eliminate the problems of traditional shoe laces, by always being knot free HALLELUJAH!! They would be great for someone who does a lot of exercise, as it would mean that they wouldn't have the risk of tripping on laces or even having to constantly tie and un-tie laces because we all know how tedious that can be! I mean they are even great for us girls, because we all know how utterly frustrating it is having to tie and un-tie shoe laces every time you are shopping and want to try trousers and things on in the fitting rooms.

If you are interested in HICKIES then click here to grab yourself the newest thing in shoe accessorising.

I may do a giveaway with these soon, so keep an eye out for that on my Instagram 'Sachaxo'!

Crochet

I was digging through my wardrobe the other day and came across this old H&M crochet crop top I bought a few years back for a holiday and  totally rekindled my love for it.
A lot of bloggers seem to be loving lace pieces at the moment, but I think crochet is my lace love. Im definitely going on the hunt for more crochet items for my summer wardrobe.
I find it so easy to wear, without it making a simple outfit look too 'done up', don't get me wrong, it can definitely be dressy if you want it to be, but I find for me, it is just easy and at the same time still looks effortlessly cool.
