Spring Vibes

I don't know about you, but i'm getting ready for spring! I cannot bare this winter weather much longer so i'm telling myself its spring now & that it's totally fine to start dressing for warmer weather!

I bought this waffle effect top from &OtherStories last week and couldn't wait to get it on, as soon as I saw it in the store I was gently reassured that spring was on its way! I love how simple this piece is, making it super easy to dress up or down and wear with so many things, however I think the texture makes it a really interesting piece.

I paired the top with some basic black high waisted jeans and my camel coat because lets face it, even in spring the temperatures in the UK are less than satisfactory, and because I love my camel coat and it goes so well with the cream top, they are such a perfect colour palette for spring.

I bought myself a pair of Quay Australia sunnies last week to, as I have been wanting to get my hands on a pair for ages. I went for a a thick black frame with a slight cat eye and i absolutely adore them!
They give the outfit that bit more of a spring vibe and I think along with the boots give the look a tougher, chic-er vibe!

Wishing these photos were more springy though! Damn finishing work after good daylight!
:(

Give me a month & I'll be dressing for summer!

Pinstripe Jacket Of Dreams

There isn't a lot I have to say about this jacket, it speaks for its self really.
It's amazing & I love it!

I picked it up from Topshop over the weekend (just gone) & just couldn't wait to style it with these trousers and my white trainers!

As the trousers and the jacket are both quite tailored I wanted to balance the look out with a lose plain white tee & my white trainers, to make the outfit a bit more casual, whilst still keeping it effortlessly chic!

It is such a comfortable outfit, it would be perfect for everyday things, like running errands, coffee dates & shopping.

I really wanted to picture this outfit outside, but I wasn't so well this evening and had to confine myself to my room, so I apologise for the crappy lighting!

Nostalgia

At first glance this outfit looks like a little bit of a mish-mash! However, take your time and it actually kind of works to create a boyish look with a bit of an edge.

I chose the top as I remember how much I loved layering long & short sleeved tops 'Im a skater girl' phase & thought 'if i could make it work then, then i'm sure as hell gunna bring it back and try and make it work now!', ooohh the nostalgia (hence the title of this post).

Im a huge dungaree fan, I really don't wear them enough, i'm dying to get my hands on a pair of full length ones, so if you know of any, comment the links below!!
Anyway, i thought I would pair the top with the dungarees to keep in with the whole nostalgic 'skater' kind of vibe I was going for. I really like the colour of these ones, perfect for the summer!

I wanted to make the outfit a little 'modern' (can i say that?) as opposed to looking like I was still living in the year 2000. I paired it with these Givenchy dupe boots and my leather jacket to add a bit of a biker-esque edge to the outfit.
If the top didn't have the striped sleeves then i'm not so sure the boots and leather jacket would have worked as well, so keep that in mind. If your wearing a cutesy girly top under your dungarees, strong leather boots or too much black leather in general, will probably look too harsh!

I really like this look, its pretty simple and easy to throw on.

What do you think?
