Comfy In Camel

My life has been totally hectic for the past week, with lots of work drama & flat situations, which has meant I haven't had a chance to blog & boy have I missed it! I took these outfit photos over a week ago now, so I am happy to finally be able to get them up!

I have been looking for a long knitted dress for so long and recently came across this one in H&M and instantly fell in love with it. Seeing as they only had one size 6 left, I thought it would be rude not to take it home with me, so I did.

The dress has a v-neck that comes down just a little too far for me, so I decided to wear it back to front (that sounds so ridiculous), but in all honesty, I really like it with the v at the back.

Anyway, I paired the dress with my Adidas Stan Smith trainers as I wanted it to be a super casual outfit,  which I think worked really well, I like mixing really feminine pieces with something a little more masculine, it always makes for effortlessly cool outfit.
However, if trainers aren't for you, I think this dress would work really well with a nice pair of loafers or for the summer months, some sliders!

P.S - Ignore the bandage on my ankle, I had gotten tattooed the day before I took these photos so It was still wrapped up!

Simple Staples

Every wardrobe has it staples or key pieces as some people like to say. To me staples are pieces that are versatile, pieces that can be styled with almost anything and even styled together.

This outfit is a combination of a few pieces that I consider staples in my wardrobe...a crisp white t-shirt, good quality blue jeans and a good pair of white trainers.
I love how simple this outfit is, it is super casual but very crisp and clean, meaning it doesn't look sloppy.
With an outfit as simple as this, any jacket or cardigan in this case will wear well as there are no key elements that need to be considered, i.e. colours, textures, patterns ect, so pretty much anything goes! I chose to add this oversized knitted cardigan to add a bit of texture to the outfit and for an added comfort measure!

I really love the neck line on this t-shirt as well, I feel it makes the outfit a little less boyish and a bit more chic.

What are your wardrobe staples?
