Outfit Of The Day

So British summer is finally upon us and it seems that it is only going to get warmer for the next week!

Yesterday was a really lovely day, i'm pretty sure it was about 25 degrees, which is pretty darn good for the UK.
I went for an all black outfit, which I discovered was a really silly idea, however these trousers are kind of a linen material so super airy and light, which saved me from getting all sweaty and gross underneath! I just paired it with a basic black cami top, keeping it really simple and comfortable.

I also forgot how much I love tote bags too! They keep an outfit really casual and they are so damn practical, so as I was just spending the day wandering around the Japanese Gardens in Holland Park & watching the Koi fish by the waterfall, I didn't need anything too snazzy, as it was going to be sat on the ground most of the time.

I also wore my brand new Prada sunnies that I was gifted at a blogger event at the Sunglasses Hut!

Lavera Summer Launches - Review

I was recently sent some products from the lovely people over at Pure PR to try out and review. So that is exactly what I am going to do.

The first products are from a brand called Lavera, who I am going to be honest, I had never heard of before receiving these products, which I love because it is always exciting discovering new brands.
These two products (pictured) are Lavera's newest summer launches and can be picked up at any Whole Foods store, with prices starting from £7, which I think is super reasonable for what you get!

Both the Body Wash and the Body Lotion are paraben free, made using organic coconut & vanilla and are totally vegan friendly, something that really puts a smile on my face! So already before trying these products I had given them a 5 star rating, just for their ethics!

Both products have the same scent, which isn't a bad thing because they smell incredible, the best way I can describe it is that it smells just like the Vanilla yoghurt that you get in the Muller Corner pots, and if you aren't familiar with that smell then lets just say these products smell super fresh and sweet, but not sickly sweet!

Since receiving this product, it has not left my shower and I am pretty sure I am about half way through the tube already, if not more! The smell is one of those that lingers in the bathroom for a while after use, which is great if you love the smell, I mean who wouldn't want their bathroom smelling like coconut & vanilla?
It is a really lovely shower gel that creates a nice light lather and feels really lovely on the skin. It really makes you feel clean as it offers a gentle cleanse.
The coconut leaves your skin feeling super soft & the vanilla is just an added bonus to please your nostrils!

Just like the body wash this body lotion has the same main ingredients and therefore has the same amazing scent. Again the coconut in this leaves your skin feeling incredibly soft.
The product is a really light creamy consistency that absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving it feeling tacky, (which is such a massive no for me when it comes to moisturisers) and leaves your skin feeling super hydrated and soft.

*****

Overall, I absolutely love these products, and there isn't a bad thing I can say about them personally. The packaging is very fresh and summery and the smell is just out of this world. They are the perfect summer skincare duo that just work so well together.
Im not sure if they do travel sized versions of these products, however I think they would be the perfect holiday body products, so if you are looking for some products to take on holiday with you I would definitely recommend these!

Outfit Of The Day

Todays outfit was a super casual, super comfortable one. Myself & Aaron took a trip to Covent Garden and spent the day wandering around, something we seem to do a lot.
When i'm out and about I like to be comfortable, so today I just threw on my new jeans from Zara, a simple baggy white tee, my leather jacket and some black boots. It is such a simple outfit that cant really ever go wrong.
I like pairing black leather with blue ripped jeans as it gives the outfit a more edgy vibe, however ripped blue jeans can be styled in so many different ways, so keep an eye out as I plan to style these and wear them a lot!

The Short Shoe History

Have you ever thought about how you have ended up with the shoes you have today & what they have evolved from? Are they a totally original design or are they just a newer model of some of the most iconic shoe designs in history?

Well, the people over at Farfectch have created an infographic, which is a beautifully illustrated timeline showcasing some of the most iconic shoe styles throughout the ages & have sent it to me exclusively to share with you guys!

Check it out below:

Super interesting right? Which era is your favourite?
I think mine is the 90s, not just because I was a 90s baby, but because I think they are super fun & interesting and very imaginative and I like the way they have moved away from the classic heel and opted for a flatform (something that has come back into recent fashion trends), however there is still a very 70s element in the shoe, with them still being very colourful and flamboyant!

If you want to look further back and see shoes from way further back in history then you will be excited to know that the V&A museum in London is currently holding an exhibition called Shoes: Pleasure & Pain which is running until 31st January 2016, so you have plenty of time to go and check it out. Tickets only cost £12!!

"This exhibition looks at the extremes of footwear from around the globe, presenting around 200 pairs of shoes ranging from a sandal decorated in pure gold leaf originating from ancient Egypt to the most elaborate designs by contemporary makers. It considers the cultural significance and transformative capacity of shoes and examines the latest developments in footwear technology creating the possibility of ever higher heels and dramatic shapes. Examples from famous shoe wearers and collectors are shown alongside a dazzling range of historic shoes, many of which have not been displayed before." - V&A Website.

I will most definitely be checking out this exhibition, what about you?

Casual Basics

More often than not, you will find me wearing very little colour. I really like the simplicity of a super basic colour palette and find that it always creates a real clean, chic look.

So this was last week, my boyfriend and I were just wandering around London, finding new places,  dropping in and out of shops and stopping for food & coffee breaks, so nothing too spectacular, however it was a super fun day. It was a really lovely day out, the sun was shining and it was warm enough to go sleeveless!
I opted for a super simple outfit, keeping the palette simple with this basic grey vest that I recently picked up from the &Otherstories sale and pairing it with my white jeans, which I tucked up a little to make them shorter, almost like those 90s pedal pushers, but a tad longer. Who remembers those?!

I wore my ASOS slip ons because they are super comfortable and they added a bit of interest to the outfit, whilst still keeping it pretty simple. I stuck with my normal, everyday jewellery and wore my small box bag as I really love the chain strap, it added a little bit of edge to the outfit and matched well with my silver jewellery. Oh and of course I wore my Quay Australia sunnies!!

How nice is this location also? Its somewhere off of Great Portland Street, I think it was called Langham Court Hotel, such a beautiful building, almost very Parisian looking!

Dungarees

(I APOLOGISE IN ADVANCE FOR THE DIFFERING IMAGE SIZES, AND THE ODD SURROUNDINGS. GOTS TO GET DEM OUTFIT PICS AT ANY CHANCE I GOT!!)

Just a quick outfit post this evening! I finally got my hands on some full length dungarees after wanting them since last summer!

I went for the black ones because I thought they would be the easiest to style and jumping straight in with blue made me anxious, seeing as I don't wear an awful lot of colour the majority of the time! However, it is safe to say, I want NEED to get my hands on a pair of blue denim dungarees.

I love how comfortable these are and how easy they are to just throw on with anything & every time look great. I have been wearing these to death!

For this outfit, I went for a simple yet tomboy-ish kind of look, jus pairing it was a basic grey t-shirt and some trainers.

If you want to see how I styled this a little more feminine check out my latest Lookbook over on my Youtube channel here!

Keep an eye out for more of more ways in which I style these!

Breezy Beach Walk

Number Six of my holiday outfit posts, worn for an evening stroll along the beach & dinner in the hotel.

When I saw these trousers in Zara I fell in love, they are a lovely silk material that were absolutely perfect for a holiday. With the material being so thin and flowy, they were really comfortable and breezy. Not only were they holiday practical but they were very flattering on, the elasticated waist band sits comfortably in the right place and really accentuates your waist line which is always a winner, and even though i'm a shortie, they don't seem to make me look stumpy which can sometimes be the case, it could be the fact I have long legs, or the fact that the stripes go downwards and make everything seem a little more elongated.

I paired the trousers with a super simple strappy crop top, to keep that super clean & simple vibe that I like and wearing a simple pair of sliders for comfort and to dress it down a bit.

Like most of my holiday outfits this one can definitely be dressed up or down, in this case I went for a more dressed down look. However I think it is important that when planning outfits to take on holiday, you make them wearable for both day and evening looks, this was you don't end up over packing.

I hope you liked my holiday outfits. If you would like to see me style outfits for any specific occasions then please let me know in the comments below!

Holiday Monochrome

Number five of my holiday outfits.

This is an outfit I wore down to dinner and then for a walk along the beach to watch the sunset, so my main thought when getting dressed was comfort.

I like simplicity of this outfit, I kept it very monochrome and then threw in a bit of colour with my copper sliders.
As I said before I wanted this to be comfortable and it really was, the shorts were very loose fitting and  really thin material which allowed for a breeze to pass through. I paired the shorts with a plain white ASOS tee to just keep it simply and casual, just tucking it up a little to make it more of a long crop.

I think it a quite a casual, yet chic outfit & definitely one I would wear again, maybe paired with some trainers for a super casual more UK weather appropriate outfit (unless the sun wants to come out & stay out!!).

What do you think to this one?
