How I Style My Jewellery

I was recently asked by the people at Invaluable (an online auction marketplace that sells jewellery and more) if I could write a post about my most sentimental piece of jewellery; after a little bit of thought I realised that I don’t actually have anything that is incredibly sentimental to me, nothing worth writing about.
I was then challenged to style up the jewellery that I like to wear, which is something that I didn’t have to put too much thought into.

As you will have probably noticed I wear a lot of rings on an every day basis and they are predominantly silver. I had recently ordered a new ring and thought that I would combine it with my everyday rings but use it as a base for the outfit.
The ring is a a big silver Kudu Skull so very biker-esque, so this is the vibe I wanted to go for with the rest of the outfit.

I went for a sleeveless biker jacket, OBVIOUSLY, and paired this with a plain white t-shirt and black jeans and of course some black leather boots. I chose a small side bag with silver hardware as it went well with the biker vibe and the hardware matched my jewellery.
Aswell as my rings I went for my silver skull bangle and also added a very small dainty necklace just so that the top half of me didn't look to bare as there was a lot of jewellery on my hands, I just wanted to balance it out a bit.
I wanted to keep the outfit simple and let the jewellery be the main focus.

I feel like silver jewellery as simple as mine; and by ‘simple’ I mean there is not too much to it i.e. jewels or diamantes ect, that you can really pair it with most things, it isn’t going to clash with anything you are wearing, unless you have a different coloured metal hardware on anything such as your bag.

I’m not one to put too much thought into the jewellery I wear & what I wear it with unless I am going to an event or something a little bit dressy, I just know what jewellery I like to wear most days and stick to that!

How do you style your jewellery? I’d love to know!

Current Favourite Lipstick Look

Now, I don't want this to be a really long rambley post, but I thought I would just share with you a lipstick look I have really been enjoying recently, and do a little step by step so you can try it out if you like!

So as you can see from the picture above I have gone for some similar colours in slightly different shades, this is so I can make an almost ombre effect.
So onto how its done...

So first of all I lined my lips with the MAC lipliner in Nice n' Spicy like so...

After this I colour the entirety of my lips in with the lip liner, I do this so that if the lipstick were to come off from eating or whatever that Im not just left with a line around my lips because that would look super weird:

I then applied a coat of the Tom Ford lipstick in the colour Coco Ravish:

And then to achieve the 'ombre-ish' effect I applied a small amount of Sleeks Naked lipstick in the centre of both my top and bottom lips, and then rubbed them together a little to help it spread outwards a little:

Pretty simple, right! Im sure most of you can do it way better than I can, but I really like how this looks, I think the colours work really well together and also work well against my skin tone!

I apologise if this is a bit of a strangely laid out post and also for the incredibly awkward pictures!

Let me know what you think  of this lipstick look in the comments below!

Palazzo Pants

I picked up these Palazzo style pants from H&M the other day and I just haven't taken them off since.  I cannot even begin to tell you how comfortable they are!

This is a OOTD from Saturday.
Myself & Aaron where going to the Saatchi Gallery for the day and the weather was lovely again so I decided to wear something super comfortable and airy, so that I wouldn't get too hot, and these trousers were definitely the go to for both comfort and airy-ness.

The fabric is so light and airy, making them absolutely perfect for this lovely weather we've been getting in the UK recently. I really love palazzo pants as I think they make an outfit look really kind of thought out and effortlessly chic.
I paired the trousers with a simple grey ripped vest top to keep it simple and make the trousers the focus point.

Fringing

Im really enjoying this 70s/boho vibe thats about at the moment, all the suede and all the fringing & tassels. It's such a fun trend that really allows you to experiment, and play around with different textures, shapes and colours, which is always fun.
So when I saw this dress in Zara I decided to get it and see how I could incorporate this trend into my style & wardrobe.

I cant say I have experimented to much with this outfit, however I wanted to make this dress wearable for an everyday basis, as I am a pretty casual person and never really have any evening events to get dressed up for.

With the dress being pretty straight; and by that I mean not hugging my figure anywhere, I think it is really easy to make casual, as anything that accentuates you figure a lot, to me, automatically looks less casual and more dressy.
By pairing the dress with a pair of simple white sneakers it keeps the main focus on the dress and instantly makes it super casual.
Adding some simple jewellery and a small bag gives the outfit a little more character and gives you an area to play around with.
This dress could very easily be dressed up for an evening look, so it is a really great transition piece!

What do you think?

Im looking forward to getting my hands on some more pieces from this trend and styling them. What are you favourite items from the trend?

Outfit Of The Day

So today was an 'errand' day for me, seeing as it was my day off, so it only makes sense to get all those little bits and bobs done and out of the way!

On days like today when i'm going to be out and about getting things done, I like an 'easy' outfit, one that doesn't require a lot of thought.
I decided to just throw on some denim shorts as it is still pretty warm out, a white top and my trainers, super easy and really comfortable & not to mention, incredibly casual.

I tied the top at the front and added minimal accessories just to make it look a little more interesting and to make it look more 'complete'.

Im all about comfort on errand days. How about you?

LIPSTICKS

The two colours that I was sent were Number 7417 which is a satin finish lipstick (Left) and Red which is semi matte lipstick (Right).

I really like the super simple packing of these lipsticks, but to be honest, its whats inside that matters the most I guess!

Firstly, the pigmentation of both of these lipsticks is amazing, it really only takes one swipe of the lipstick to get a good, even coat of colour, which I like because you don't use the lipstick up as quickly when the colour pay off is great first time round!

The lipstick pictured on the left has a very creamy consistency, it is in no way matte but at the same time it isn't too glossy. It feels nice on the lips almost quite moisturising and it lasts pretty well!

The red lipstick pictured on the right is as it says on the bullet, a semi matte lipstick and I would say it is true to its word. It has that matte effect but no the point where you can really feel it, because with some matte lipstick you can feel it getting super matte and your lips end up feeling a little tight and sometime a bit dry, but that is not the case with this one.
It glides on really nicely and doesn't drag on the lip too much like most matte lippies! Again, the longevity of the colour is really good!

The only down side to these lipsticks, are that they stain the lips a bit which isn't a huge issue, however if you mess up when you apply it is better to use a q-tip to correct it with a bit of make-up remover on it so it doesn't smear across your face and leave you with a lipstick stained face!

EYESHADOWS

So the colours I received of these eyeshadows are Nour (Left) and Hana (Right), the colour Hana is matte powder eyeshadow and Nour has a bit shimmer to it.

Again I really like the packing of these, I like that it allows you to see the colour through the lid.

The colour pay off for both of these eyeshadows is really good, as you can see from the photo, this is just one swipe of the products. Both colours are really build-able, so if you do want to build the colour more and make them brighter and more visible, then it can be done. The only bad thing about the yellow colour, is that it can stain a little, but I found that using a good cleanser solves that problem!

Both of the eyeshadows have a really soft consistency, they seem to be super finely milled so they apply onto the lid really smoothly without looking really powdery, they just sit really nicely on the eyelid.
The shimmer in the Nour eyeshadow is really fine and looks really lovely when the light catches it.

The colour lasts pretty well, I like to use a primer on the lid before applying eyeshadow anyway, but even so the colour stays on well.

For me the yellow is not a colour I would personally wear as it is just a little too adventurous for me, however I think for a more editorial/fashion look it would look great! The pink is probably a colour I would use sparingly, i'm not a very colourful person, but I think it would look really lovely for a summery look or even for a subtle bridal make-up.

Over all I am really impressed with these products, they are all super lovely summer colours and will look great with so many different make-up looks.
Even if these colours aren't for you I would definitely recommend checking out other Lord & Berry products, they do an incredible selection of nude lipsticks and lipliners, which I have a couple of & I love!
